Drilling

There are nearly 371 wells of varying categories in the Karachaganak field of which 83 are producing wells and 15 are gas injectors. The remaining wells either form part of an extensive network of monitoring and observation wells or are abandoned exploration or production wells.

KPO currently has one drilling rig and one work over rig, and when needed a specialist small rig works in the field undertaking a variety of activities in support of the on-going Phase IIM development of the field.
