The Karachaganak Venture brings expertise and knowledge from five international oil & gas companies – BG Group, Eni SpA, Chevron, Lukoil and KazMunaiGas. In developing the field to date, the Venture has utilised leading, and in some cases pioneering technology.
BG Group, together with Eni are joint operators and each hold a 29.25 per cent interest in the venture. Chevron and Lukoil hold respective interests of 18 per cent and 13.5 per cent. National company KazMunaiGas, which entered the Joint Venture from 1st July 2012, holds a 10 per cent interest.

Eni operates in the oil and gas, electricity generation and sale, petrochemicals, oilfield services construction and engineering industries. In these businesses it has a strong edge and leading international market position. Eni is active in 70 countries with a staff of about 76,000 employees. |

| Chevron Corporation (18 per cent)
Chevron is one of the world's largest integrated energy companies. Headquartered in San Ramon, California, they conduct business in more than 100 countries. Chevron is engaged in every aspect of the oil and natural gas industry, including exploration and production, manufacturing, marketing and transportation, chemicals manufacturing and sales, geothermal, and power generation. The company is also investing in renewables and advanced technologies. |

| LUKOIL (13.5 per cent)
LUKOIL is one of the world's leading vertically integrated oil and gas companies. The main activities of the company are exploration and production, production of petroleum products and petrochemicals, and marketing of these outputs. Most of the Company's exploration and production activity is located in Russia, and its main resource base is in Western Siberia.

| KazMunaiGas (10 per cent)
KazMunaiGas is a leading national oil and gas company that owns 44 oil and gas fields in Kazakhstan. The company specialises in most segments of the oil and gas sector, such as exploration and production, transportation, refining and marketing. KazMunaiGas runs main refineries in Kazakhstan and owns some refineries in Romania. Apart from these activities KazMunaiGaz is expanding its sphere of operations by developing a service area and implementing new investment projects. |
