Vice Minister of Energy Visits Karachaganak

AKSAI, West Kazakhstan Oblast, 27 March 2025 — The Vice Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kudaibergen Arymbek, accompanied by the Head of PGA, Mirbolat Tnaliyev, visited the Karachaganak field. As part of the visit, a working meeting was held with the management of Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. (KPO).

 

The purpose of the visit was to familiarize the delegation with KPO’s production activities and key operational facilities at Karachaganak. During the visit, the delegation toured several production facilities and was briefed on the progress of ongoing field development projects, including KEP-1B.

 

KPO General Director Marco Marsili shared insights into the company's activities and discussed positive production performance and future potential development opportunities of the Karachaganak Field.

 

The meeting also addressed local content development initiatives. KPO Vice General Director Mukhtar Mankeyev presented information on planned programs aimed at supporting Kazakhstani manufacturers and creating favourable conditions for local suppliers to participate in the company’s projects. Measures to enhance opportunities for domestic enterprises were discussed, including the implementation of the approved Local Content Development Program for 2024–2029.

 

At the conclusion of the visit, the guests expressed their appreciation for the company’s overview and wished the KPO team continued success in its operations.
