URALSK, 04 April 2025 – Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. (KPO), in cooperation with the Akimat of West Kazakhstan Oblast (WKO), held a working meeting dedicated to supporting the Kazakhstani manufacturers involved in the Karachaganak Project and the local content development plans for 2025.
The purpose of the meeting was for the local companies to present their capabilities for goods localization and explore new areas of cooperation. A separate exhibition of local enterprises products was arranged.
Ministry of Energy, PSA and senior staff of IMBC attended the event at the invitation of KPO management. Their participation was important for big discussion of the most important issues concerning the Karachaganak Local Content development and the prospects for long-term engineering collaboration.
Following the working meeting KPO signed the Special Vehicles Supply Contract with UralskAgroremMash JSC and the Contract for Supply of the Lease Automatic Custody Transfer Package for Oil Fiscal Metering System with West Oil LLP.
KPO delegation headed by General Director Marco Marsili visited several industrial enterprises in the region, including West Kazakhstan Engineering Company JSC, West Oil LLP, UralskAgroRemMash JSC and KaspiMunaiCapital LLP with the aim to familiarise with the production capabilities of local manufacturers.
Following the meetings, KPO General Director Marco Marsili emphasized the high potential of Kazakhstani enterprises and the consortium's great interest in supporting local producers. He noted that this was particularly important for the successful implementation of major projects at Karachaganak. He also thanked the WKO Akimat for their continuous assistance in Local Content Development and wished the entrepreneurs further success.
KPO is consistently developing long-term cooperation with domestic enterprises, promoting their integration into major oil and gas projects.
This year, an interregional cooperation is intensifying, thus on 1st of March 2025, KPO delegation led by Marco Marsili, General Director and Mukhtar Mankeyev, Deputy General Director, paid a working visit to the Karaganda Oblast — one of the country’s key industrial centres with a significant material and raw material potential. In 2025 KPO plans to visit at least 4 more regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan as a part of interregional cooperation.
