URALSK, 11 April 2025 - Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. (KPO) has completed the capital repair of the building of State-Owned Public Enterprise “Youth Culture Palace” under the Department of Culture and Language Development in Uralsk implemented as part of the regional social infrastructure development program.
A comprehensive overhaul was carried out at the facility, including the replacement of every worn-out and damaged part of the building. The stage design and structure in the concert hall, finishing materials, roof structures, engineering systems, thermal insulation of enclosing structures, windows, stained glass windows, doors, exterior and interior fences, chairs and stalls in the concert hall, as well as the stage mechanism were also replaced. The land of the Youth Culture Palace was also rearranged and improved: pave stones were laid, landscaping was carried out, and a children's playground was installed.
The opening ceremony was attended by West Kazakhstan Oblast administration, headed by Nariman Turegaliyev - Akim of the region as well as KPO and contractor representatives.
The implementation of this project demonstrates KPO commitment to fulfilling its obligations contributing to local community development and social infrastructure improvement. Investments in the cultural area are aimed at improving the quality of community life and creating favourable conditions for the creative development of the younger generation.
In addition, under the instruction from Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Creative Industry Hub ÖzgeEpic Oral was established in Youth Culture Palace with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information, Akimat of West Kazakhstan oblast and Samruk-Kazyna Foundation to develop various cultural and technological trends facilitating the implementation of innovative projects and creative initiatives.
Over the past 25 years in the West-Kazakhstan oblast hundreds of kilometres of the new roads laid, dozens of schools, hospitals, sports and cultural facilities built and repaired using funds allocated by KPO exemplify the long-term social responsibility of the subsoil user to the region community and society as a whole.
