AKSAI, West Kazakhstan Oblast, 25 June 2026 - Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B. V. (KPO) hosted its third Annual Local Content Development Townhall, bringing together employees from different departments and management levels. This year, the Townhall was held in KPC Administrative building at the Karachaganak field.
The event served as an important platform for reviewing progress of local content initiatives and defining the next steps towards achieving the Company’s strategic objectives within the Karachaganak Project.
The primary objective of the Townhall was to raise employees’ awareness of the progress achieved in local content development and to provide greater insight into KPO’s key processes and initiatives. Particular emphasis was also devoted to consolidating departments’ efforts to enhance the efficiency of internal processes.
The Townhall was held in an open dialogue format, fostering constructive discussions on key issues, facilitating the exchange of professional experience, and generating recommendations to further enhance internal processes. It also increased engagement of all company departments in advancing the Company's localization policy. Participants were also given the opportunity to ask questions to experts and discuss practical cases.
During the event, Marco Marsili, KPO General Director, addressed the participants, emphasizing the vital importance of strong interdepartmental coordination in achieving sustainable results in local content development. According to Mr. Marsili, such collaboration is a key factor in the effective implementation of KPO’s strategic objectives.
Following the Townhall, priority areas were identified and further joint steps were agreed upon to improve the efficiency of the Company’s local content development processes.
It should be noted that the Company remains firmly committed to increasing local content, which continues to be a key priority across its operations. KPO has already achieved significant results in this area and is rightfully considered one of the leading companies in the oil and gas industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
