AKSAI, West Kazakhstan oblast, 24 August 2019 –  A delegation of West Kazakhstan oblast (WKO) headed by WKO Akim Gali Iskaliyev visited the Karachaganak oil and gas condensate field and held a working meeting with the leadership of Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. (KPO).

The purpose of the visit was familiarization with KPO performance and key production facilities of the Karachaganak field.

At the meeting, the dignitaries were updated on company’s operations, Karachaganak field further development plans and KPO involvement in social and economic development of Western Kazakhstan region.

During discussions Gali Iskaliyev, WKO Akim, stressed the importance of the Karachaganak project for West Kazakhstan region.  He also praised the level of cooperation and understanding between WKO authorities and the company, and made some proposals for further development of Local Content in the Karachaganak Project.

As part of the programme, the guests also visited the Karachaganak Processing Complex (KPC), Karachaganak Debottlenecking Project (KGDBN) and a camp of one of KPO contractors.

At the end of the visit, the guests commended the KPO’s achievements and wished all company’s employees a continued success in the development of the Karachaganak project.
