Nur-Sultan, 27 September, 2019 – Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. (KPO) participated in the Special Conference devoted to the 120th Anniversary of Kazakh Oil. The Conference has been also attended by Roman Sklyar, Vice  Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Gulmammad Javadov, Deputy Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan, Uzakbai Karabalin, Deputy Chairman of the KAZENERGY Association and heads  of the largest international Oil-and-Gas companies in Kazakhstan such as  TCO and NCOC.

The Conference attendees reflected on  the key milestone in the history of Kazakhstan’s oil-and-gas industry development and shared about new  challenges  and opportunities faced by modern generation of oil-and-gas professionals.

Roman Sklyar, Vice Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in his key note address acknowledged the importance of the oil-and-gas industry for the national economy and congratulated everyone with the 120th Anniversary of the first Kazakh Oil.

During his speech, Edwin Blom, KPO General Director, addressing the participants of the Conference told about fabulous and impressive history of Discovery of the First Kazakh Oil, development and establishment of the Kazakh oil-and-gas industry, describing all the remarkable stages. Edwin Blom also presented  History of  the Karachaganak Field Discovery in 1979, noting that the 40th Anniversary of the Karachaganak Field is another glorious milestone in the history of the Kazakh Oil development.

In conclusion of his speech, Edwin Blom expressed his gratitude to the organisers of the event and delegates of the KAZENERGY Week 2019.
