Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. (KPO) confirms that a KPO employee has tested COVID-positive and been transported to the regional infectious diseases hospital for further examination and treatment.

All contacts of this individual have been identified and placed into a quarantine facility for further examination.    KPO will follow the steer of the local health authorities and will do everything within its power to deal with the situation in terms of both prevention and treatment of COVID-19 spread into the KPO operation area.

KPO has been fully compliant with the RoK requirements and is applying all restrictive measures to prevent any potential risks. 

KPO continues its operations in a safe and responsible manner. At present KPO has necessary resources, expertise and facilities to implement the quarantine measures as prescribed by the RoK health authorities.
