ASTANA, Republic of Kazakhstan, October 04, 2023 — Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. (KPO) has participated in the XV KAZENERGY Eurasian Forum.

KAZENERGY Eurasian Forum/Kazakhstan Energy Week hosted by KAZENERGY since 2006 is the key international event in the Caspian region that provides an opportunity for a dialogue between leading experts and top executives of the energy sector to share their views on the current trends, forecasts and plans in support of the global effort to stop the climate change.

KPO team lead by Giancarlo Ruiu, General Director attended a number of technical sessions, round table meetings and panel discussions. As a panellist, KPO GD spoke at the FIC WG session dedicated to cooperation between the Government and the foreign investors in achieving carbon neutrality by 2060. During the discussion, G. Ruiu shared his vision of the situation and talked about the Company’s ongoing efforts and long-term strategies for green transition.

As part of the event, the VI Forum of the KAZENERGY Women’s Energy Club «EmpowerHer energy forum» discussed the role women play in promoting and achieving various social and environmental initiatives, effective strategies to reduce inequality etc. During the session an award ceremony was held to recognize the most active members of the Club — Slushash Izbassarova KPO Human Resources and Services Director was awarded a KAZENERGY medal for her continued support and contribution to the country’s oil & gas industry.

As a silver sponsor of the XV KAZENERGY Eurasian Forum, KPO was also presented by an exhibition stand which attracted a huge interest from the Forum attendees by its modern design and informative content.
