UK Ambassador to Kazakhstan visits Karachaganak

AKSAI, West Kazakhstan Oblast, 27 October, 2014 – The UK Ambassador to Kazakhstan Carolyn Browne has visited the Karachaganak oil and gas condensate field to familiarize with operations of Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. (KPO) as part of her short-term working visit to the West Kazakhstan Oblast (WKO).

During the visit Ms. Carolyn Browne has familiarised with the Karachaganak project activities and KPO’s contribution towards economic and social development of the region. Also, as part of the visit she had a meeting with the WKO Akim Nurlan Nogayev.

In addition, Ms. Carolyn Browne has visited the regional history museum and the museum-house named after Yemelyan Pugachev to learn about the history and culture of the WKO region.

At the end of visit, the UK Ambassador to Kazakhstan has expressed her appreciation on KPO achievements. "It was very interesting to me to learn that there is an example of how international standards are observed in WKO”, said Ms. Browne.
