Following capital repairs, Mukhit Street in Uralsk was reopened On Tuesday in a ceremonial atmosphere with Oblast Akim Baktykozha Izmukhambetov. The renewal of one of the city central roads with a length of 2.5 kilometres and 14 metres in width, cost the sponsor – KPO BV KZT 182 million. The project was conducted by Uralskstroi.

The townspeople were waiting impatiently for the completion of the work, because its temporary unavailability created a lot of inconveniences for drivers and pedestrians. Nearby streets that received additional traffic could not manage with the increased number of cars. But now, there is no inconvenience at all. This flat and wide road will undoubtedly be liked by drivers and pedestrians.

While opening the repaired street, the head of the region first of all, congratulated the people of Uralsk with the coming holiday – the Day of the Republic. He noted that the project was conducted according to an agreement on the Karachaganak project for financing the development of the city. The Akim promised that operations like the repair of Mukhit street will be ongoing. Later, Baktykozha Izmukhambetov cut a ribbon and opened the street with labour veteran Sagi Aldabergenov.

According to the Vice President of Uralskstroi Alexander Krykin, they completed a large amount of work, and finished it ahead of schedule. From Eurasia Avenue to the regional hospital, the company not only changed the asphalt, but sometimes added up to 30 centimetres of ballast. It also repaired the sidewalks, put in new curbs and lighting.

The traffic on the street is still crowded, but in the future, it is planned to connect it with Kurmangazy and start one-way traffic for more convenience for the townspeople and to avoid the traffic jams.
