Aksai, Western Kazakhstan oblast, 21 September 2002 -- Karachaganak Integrated Organisation (KIO) held an ecological action "Aksai Clean Up Day" dedicated to 35th anniversary of Aksai. Senior pupils from five Aksai schools as well as 40 students from Uralsk Oil & Gas college took part in the action organised by NGO "Parasat" with logistical and sponsorship support from KIO.

Burlinski Akim Sagidolla Erkebayev and HSE Director Jack Hinton saluted the participants.

The participants of the Clean up day were split into two groups: Group 1 consisting of 40 people took a responsibility for tidying up of Aksai Gazovik park and Group 2 of 60 people set off for the Utva river to clean up river banks.

By carrying out the event the participants reconfirmed their commitment to personal support and care for the environment.
