KPO Unit 3 Manager, Bill Hunter, who rotates with Tom Hanson, thanked the entire Unit-3 staff, and the Gathering and Production Satellites and Export pipelines personnel saying, “This achievement signifies KPO personnel’s commitment to the highest level of safety, health and environmental practices and standards.  Considering that the last LTI occurred over two years ago, this milestone also shows that we are moving closer to our vision of an incident-free workplace."

Commenting on the event, KPO Corporate Affairs & HSE Controller, Nurzhan Kamalov said, "KPO actively promotes a culture where the ownership of safety is shared across the organisation.  We aim to improve the performance still further through compliance with HSE standards, managing workplace risks and careful planning and monitoring of our operations".

 Their safety record was made possible through KPO's ongoing investment in raising the awareness of safe working practices throughout the Karachaganak project and the implementation of a number of safety initiatives, integrated into a 14 point HSE Improvement plan, which includes the Behavioral Based Safety programme, which was rolled out last year.
