URALSK, West Kazakhstan Oblast, 5 April, 2019 -  Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. (KPO) held a workshop for localization of electrical equipment and cables for international and local manufacturers in line with implementation of KPO local content development program approved by stakeholders.

The main objective of the event was to introduce the electrical equipment and cables producers on opportunities of participation in KPO’s ongoing field activities and debottlenecking projects through localisation of manufacturing of such goods in Kazakhstan and establishment of joint ventures between interested local and international companies.

The workshop was attended by representatives of more than 20 international and local manufacturers.

KPO representatives introduced the Company’s  technical requirements and standards for electrical equipment and cable products, as well as briefed the workshop participants on existing and future demands in such products.

As part of the event, the representatives of local manufacturers of electrical equipment and cables had an opportunity to present their product range, localization plans, had face-to-face meetings with KPO departments and international manufacturers.

During the workshop participants agreed on cooperation works in developing of the new types of electrical equipment and cable products to cover of KPO needs in accordance with company standards.
