URALSK, West Kazakhstan Oblast, 18 September 2021 - Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. (KPO) announced the successful commissioning of the Regional Children & Youth Sports School in Zachagansk, West Kazakhstan oblast.

The opening ceremony was attended by WKO Akim Gali Iskaliyev, KPO management, Kazakh professional boxer, Honoured Master of Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Olympic champion Daniyar Yeleussinov and representatives of contracting organizations and the community.

Kuanysh Kudaibergenov KPO Vice General Director, congratulated the residents on a joyful event in the sports life of the region, noting that the implementation of this project was made possible thanks to the fruitful cooperation and partnership relations established between KPO and West Kazakhstan oblast leaders.

In the new school everything necessary is provided for improving skills and achieving high sports results. I wish success to coaching staff, and the wins to young athletes - added Kuanysh Kudaibergenov.

The total area of the two-storey sports school is 2004 square meters. On the ground floor there is a sports hall for playing: basketball, volleyball, mini-football, there is also a medical room. On the first floor of the sports school there are administrative premises, a methodological office, a meeting room as envisaged by the project. The educational and training base of the school meets all modern demands.

As part of the project, landscaping of the adjacent territory was also carried out.

To date, the total value of KPO investments in the regional social infrastructure development is over 439 million US dollars.
