AKSAI, West Kazakhstan Oblast, 27 October 2021 — The Chairman of the Environmental Regulation and Supervision Committee at the Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Zulfukhar Zholdassov, and the top management of Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. (KPO) held a meeting within the framework of his short-term business trip to the West Kazakhstan region.

The main purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the company’s environmental activities, with the waste management and environmental management system.

During the visit, the distinguished guests got acquainted with KPO main aspects of process and production activities, further plans for the transition to the concept of «Green Economy», KPO’s participation in solving urgent problems of developing a «green» business in the region and the implementation of environmental programs. In addition, the guests were provided with the detailed information about the features of technological processes.

The executive of the industry made a sightseeing tour of the territory of one of the key production facilities — Eco Centre, where he got acquainted with the organization of the preparation of drilling fluids, the process of waste processing and their subsequent disposal.

At the end of the visit, the Chairman of Environmental Regulation and Supervision Committee at the Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan wished all employees of the company further success in the development of the Karachaganak field.
