AKSAI, West Kazakhstan Oblast, 2 September 2022 — On the eve of the RoK Oil Industry Worker’s Day, KPO Trade Union leadership organized a joint visit to the Burlin Local History Museum together with KPO management.
During the visit the delegates were told about the history of the Burlin District and took a tour within the museum that also included the thematic room dedicated to the Karachaganak field development.
As part of the visit the Trade Union representatives handed over a valuable gift to the Museum — a portrait of Sukhan Kamalov, the discoverer of the Karachaganak field, an outstanding Kazakh scientist, professor of geological and mineralogical sciences, associate member of the RoK National Academy of Sciences and member of the Engineering Academy.
In addition, memorable souvenirs dedicated to the 25th Anniversary of the Final Production Sharing Agreement were handed over to the Museum.
KPO Security and Industrial Relations Manager Ildar Imashev said, «It is quite symbolic that today’s visit has coincided with the approaching Oilman’s Day and the upcoming celebrations of the 25th Anniversary since signing the Final Production Sharing Agreement, which has laid a solid foundation for the development of Karachaganak».
At the end of the visit Museum Director, Mirbolat Yersayev, thanked the guests and all KPO team for the long-standing friendship and support.
