URALSK, West Kazakhstan Oblast, December 7, 2022 — Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. (KPO) and the Akimat of West Kazakhstan Oblast held a conference on the topic «Business Potential of the West Kazakhstan Oblast 2022».

The conference was attended by representatives of government authorities, major contractors of KPO and business communities of the West Kazakhstan Oblast, as well as the International Center for the Development of Oil and Gas Machine Building.

The main purpose of the event is to discuss the prospects for involving a larger number of local suppliers of goods and services in projects and works carried out during the development of the Karachaganak field. In this regard, the conference has become a convenient platform for the exchange of information and interaction between major KPO contractors and business community of the West Kazakhstan Oblast.

In his welcoming speech, KPO Supply Chain Director Giosue’ Della Bianca pointed to the presence at the meeting of representatives of major KPO contractors, including the general contractor of the KEP-1 project, who are ready to share information about the current and future needs of the Karachaganak project in goods and services. He noted their interest in finding local suppliers and expanding the list of products purchased in the West Kazakhstan Oblast. He called on all participants to strive to create long-term and stable business relationships.

In addition, within the framework of the round table, B2B meetings of WKO companies with representatives of the main KPO contractors were held.

As the delegates of the event noted, thanks to this conference, they got a better understanding of the requirements imposed by KPO and contractors for the supply of goods, works and services in Karachaganak, which increased the potential for their participation in this project.
