URALSK, West Kazakhstan Oblast, January 13, 2023 — Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. (KPO) hosted a General Meeting of Members of the Association «International Center for the Development of Oil and Gas Machine Building» (Association) in the «Atameken» Palace of Culture in Uralsk.

The meeting was attended by three delegations of Operators headed by KPO General Director Giancarlo Ruiu, General Director of Tengizchevroil LLP (TCO) Kevin Lyon, Managing Director of NCOC Olivier Lazare, General Director of the ALE «International Center for the Development of Oil and Gas Machine Building » (IMBC) Marat Karimov.

During the meeting, IMBC informed that more than 190 manufactures identified, 38 companies were selected for further capacity development activities. In the frame of this work KPO awarded 6 contracts to local companies and 4 more to come. In addition, during the meeting, topical issues of the Association’s activities were discussed and the main areas of activity for 2023 were identified.

The Association has been operating since 2021 on behalf of the three Operators (TCO, NCOC and KPO), closely interacting with the relevant ministries, the authorized body of PSA LLP, oil and machine building associations involved in the development of domestic oil and gas machine building.

The main objective of this Association is to increase the local content in procurement by analyzing the demand from the three Operators and studying the local market of existing manufacturers who could supply these goods, according to the requirements of the Operators.
