Petroleum Engineering Development Program

Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. (KPO) is pleased to announce that we are seeking trainees to join our Petroleum Engineering Development Program.

To be eligible for the program, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  1. Hold a higher education degree (drilling, oil and gas, petroleum engineering, mining engineering, geology).
  2. Have been registered in the West Kazakhstan region for the last 12 months;
  3. Be a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
  4. Be under the age of 32, as the program aims to develop and employ graduates with no professional experience;
  5. Demonstrate motivation to participate in the program and work for KPO upon its completion;
  6. Have an intermediate level of English proficiency or higher.

Candidates who meet the requirements will undergo a thorough selection process consisting of multiple stages (tests) and an interview. The specific dates for the tests and interviews will be communicated to each candidate individually.

To apply for the program, interested candidates must submit the required documents to kpograduates@kpo.kz with the subject line «Petroleum Engineering Development Program» within the period of 20/02/2023 — 03/03/2023.

The first 90 applicants who provide the complete set of required documents and meet all the above-mentioned requirements will be invited for testing. An invitation for testing that includes the date, time, and venue will be sent to the email address provided in their CV.

Out of the applicants who pass the testing, only 10 trainees will be selected to participate in the development program. Only applications that include a complete package of the required documents will be considered for participation in the selection process.

To take part in the selection, candidates must provide the following documents:

  1. CV (specifying a valid email address and mobile phone number);
  2. Copy of their ID;
  3. Screenshot from eGov portal confirming registration in the WKO (with surname and the date of registration);
  4. Copy of Diploma with the Official Academic Transcript.

The development programme will be conducted in Aksai. This program will have a six-day study schedule with a minimum duration of 10 months. Trainees will receive a monthly allowance during the program.

Upon successful completion of the program, trainees will receive certificates and be considered for employment at KPO.
