Aksai, West Kazakhstan Oblast, July 13, 2023 — A joint WKO / MoE delegation headed by Nariman Turegaliyev, Akim of West Kazakhstan Oblast, visited the Karachaganak field and held a working meeting with KPO Management (Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V.).

The purpose of the visit was to gain insights into the ongoing development projects, with a particular focus on the KEP-1 (Karachaganak Expansion Project) and the progress made.

During their visit, the delegation was introduced to the KEP-1 and briefed of the progress of the ongoing development projects aimed at extending the liquids production plateau. The delegation had an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the critical aspects of KPO’s operations and the company’s notable achievements in project implementation. Additionally, discussions were held regarding the prospects of the Karachaganak Gas Project, as well as developing local content, and social infrastructure in the region.

Following the visit, Nariman Turegaliyev highly commended KPO’s performance and wished the KPO team a continued success in developing the Karachaganak field.
