KPO delegation took part in the International Forum "Digital Almaty 2024"

ALMATY, February 5, 2024 — The Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. (KPO) delegation participated in the «Digital Almaty 2024: Industry X: Digital Evolution of the Future» international digital forum, organized by the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, and the Akimat of Almaty.

 

The forum included a plenary session of the Eurasian Economic Union with Commonwealth of Independent States Heads of Government. Approximately 300 speakers, including 70 international experts, discussed digital trends and strategies.

 

Kazakhstan’s mining, metallurgical complex, and oil and gas sector showcased advanced technologies at the exhibition stands.

 

Within KPO’s digitalization efforts, projects and programs were presented, covering Information Technology Security, Cybersecurity Awareness, Big Data, and Operational Technology Security.

 

The KPO delegation participated in panel sessions focusing on digital transformation, including sessions on industry transformation, fuel and energy complex digitization, machine learning, and women in digitalization.

 

The forum concluded with the largest Industry 4.0 Start-up Battle, offering a prize pool of US $180,000, with KPO’s representative serving as a jury member.

 

KPO’s participation was beneficial in sharing experience in the field of cybersecurity, machine learning and artificial intelligence in production processes. During the business meetings, the importance of cross-sectoral collaboration and expanding partnerships for digital transformation was emphasized.
