Aksai, Republic of Kazakhstan, 10 April, 2024 — Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. (KPO) wish to express heartfelt sympathy to all those impacted by the recent floods in some regions of the country. Throughout this challenging and difficult time, the Venture and Karachaganak Partners firmly stand by the people of the WKO and since the beginning have been open to extend every support to the all-out flood relief efforts.
KPO is continuing to support local communities through provision of many resources, including but not limited to:
- specialised vehicles in support of evacuation efforts, water pumping activities, flood prevention measures;
- various equipment provided to ensure safe evacuation of citizens, also flood barrier materials and medical supplies;
- food packages and mattresses.
KPO will now provide KZT 2 Billion to help fund the most crucial activities in Burlin district of WKO, to reconstruct local infrastructure. Additionally, KPO and Partner-Company employees are keen to donate privately to the public charity fund created in the region.
We appreciate the urgency of the situation and KPO as a socially responsible corporate citizen is working closely with WKO authorities and other stakeholders in the region to provide maximum assistance to all those in need.
