KPO held a meeting with its Business Partners

Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. (KPO) has convened a meeting with its Business Partners to express gratitude for their timely support during the recent flood relief activities. Marco Marsili, KPO General Director highlighted the importance for the business community to stretch their helping hand amidst the devastation caused by the floods, with over 12,000 houses submerged and families displaced. For many, these were their sole dwellings.

During the meeting, Mukhtar Mankeyev, KPO Vice General Director appreciated Tlek Shektebayev, AGS JSC CEO for their generous donation of 1 billion tenge. Furthermore, KPO management appealed to other Business Partners to extend their financial or in-kind support to those affected by the calamity.

The meeting, which saw participation from representatives of over 70 companies both on- and offline, emphasized the need for a collaborative effort across Karachaganak’s business community at this critical hour to demonstrate their social responsibility and commitment to the host region when faced with a natural disaster of such scale.

Marco Marsili concluded by pointing out that while the current flood devastation is significant, it is nothing compared to the monumental task of returning normalcy to the lives of those affected. The restoration of homes will therefore require a colossal effort and dedication by all during the next few months. That’s why KPO has allocated KZT 2 billion to support the reconstruction of houses in the Burlin district of WKO.
