AKSAI, West Kazakhstan Oblast, 16th September 2024 — Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. (KPO) has announced the successful commissioning of the Sports and Health Centre (SHC) with a capacity of 320 seats in Kaztalov village, Kaztalov district, West Kazakhstan Oblast.
The opening ceremony was attended by Akim of the West Kazakhstan Oblast N. Turegaliyev, KPO Vice General Director M. Mankeyev, and local residents. During the event, guests highlighted the significance of the SНC for the region, emphasizing its contribution to the development of sports infrastructure and improving conditions for a healthy lifestyle.
The new SHC features two floors, each equipped with modern sports facilities, accommodating a wide range of sports events and training sessions. The building includes specialized halls for wrestling, boxing, and gymnastics, a multi-purpose sports hall for basketball, volleyball, and other sports, as well as administrative offices. The complex meets contemporary standards and provides comfortable conditions for sports activities.
KPO continues to actively support social projects in the West Kazakhstan Oblast, annually implementing infrastructure initiatives in partnership with local authorities. Since the beginning of the Karachaganak field development, KPO has invested over 800 million USD in the region’s social infrastructure.
