URALSK, West Kazakhstan Oblast, November 17, 2022 — Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. has received «PARYZ — 2022» Award in the nomination «The Best social project of the year» at the Contest of Corporate Social Responsibility.

KPO received a special prize for the implementation of the Multifunctional Palace of Culture in Uralsk that was built as part of company’s programme for social infrastructure development of the region.

The event was attended by national and local authorities, representatives of business community of West Kazakhstan Oblast.

The construction of the Multifunctional Palace of Culture was completed within two years. KPO total investment into the project exceeded $24 million. The main contractor for this social project was Uralsk-based Altair LLP company.

28 companies have participated in the Contest in 5 nominations: «The best socially responsible enterprise», «The best enterprise in the field of labor protection», «The best collective agreement», «The Best social project of the year» and «For contribution to the environment», according to which the winners were determined.

The «Paryz» Contest of Corporate Social Responsibility is aimed to motivate private businesses and enhance their awareness of corporate social responsibility towards improved wellbeing of the communities.
