Kazan. October 2. KazTAG - Delegation of Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. (KPO) headed by Edwin Blom, has visited Kazan, capital of the Republic of Tatarstan. The Visit has been organized with the support of the Akimat of the West Kazakhstan Oblast (WKO) and PSA LLP Authorities in frames of interaction and cooperation aimed to familiarization with import substitution of the machinery and equipment for the oil and gas industry of the Republic of Tatarstan.
During the visit, there was an expanded meeting with high level representatives of the Agency of Investment Development and Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Moreover, there were meetings with representatives PSC Tatneft, JSC TANEKO, Public Corporation Tatneftekhiminvestholding and other major companies.
Addressing the meetings’ participants Edwin Blom, KPO General Director, briefed on KPO activity, its role in the oil and gas industry of Kazakhstan, future Karachaganak expansion projects, Local Content development, and other programmes and projects of the Company.
Edwin Blom also noted that KPO actively supports the development of national suppliers of goods, works and services and implements several projects that are aimed at fostering cooperation between international and local producers of goods and services, thus ensuring the mutual integration and transfer of advanced technologies into the industrial sector of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
As part of the trip, for exchange of experience KPO delegation has visited some major industrial enterprises and plants of the Republic of Tatarstan, located in the Special Economic Zone “Alabuga”, to learn more about development of the economic zone and industrial – technical potential of the plants which produce machinery and equipment for oil and gas industry.
On behalf of the delegation, Edwin Blom thanked Management of the Agency of Investment Development and Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan for their hospitality and wished further success in local producers’ development and the Republic in whole.
